HTA news Term 2 2015

* Welcome back everyone for Term 2........a new timetable with more classes on offer will commence from week 2

* Including classes on Fridays, students now have more days and lessons to choose from.

* New class on Fridays for Patterns only available from Friday the 24th April

* New reduced pricing will make more lessons affordable for those that wish to do extra training!

* For safety reasons all students are reminded that you must have your finger nails and toe nails trimmed.

Welcome back to all of our students for another great year at Haktari Taekwondo. For all of our existing students and those wishing to make a start, all insurance & membership forms for 2015 are due back. Please download your Term 1 fees form below and return it to the office with money in an envelope by 19th of Febuary 2015.

Term 4

Traditional, Little Ninjas and CKM will break for the school holiday from Monday 22nd September 2014 and recommence on Tuesday 7th October 2014. Fighting Fit class as normal during the school holidays.

Misty Walsh - Training and Competing in Korea

Misty Walsh was given the opportunity to travel to Korea for three weeks to do intensive training with a Korean Taekwondo Team and compete in the Korea Open with the Peak Performance Squad under their Head Coach Terrence Fernandez from Sydney who was the mens Under 58 kg 2012 Olympic Shadow Player.

The high intensity training week involved three sessions per day. First session started at 6am with 1 hour of running, hill sprints, strength and conditioning work to start the day.

Press Release - TAEKWONDO MERGER TO PROCEED AND ASC RECOGNITION

The parties involved in the negotiations around creating a single Taekwondo entity in Australia are pleased to advise the board of Taekwondo Australia (TA) have agreed to finalise their merger with Sports Taekwondo Australia (STA).

A joint board comprising equal representation from both TA and STA will be implemented within STA to govern a single Taekwondo entity. An independent chair will be appointed in the near future.

Well done to all students for their hard work in Term 2.

The gradings and the Blue Mountain Taekwondo Championship were a great success. A lot of people put in a lot of effort that did not go unnoticed.

Also - big thank you to all those Red & Black belts that help at training every week.
